Be lucky! Members and friends have the opportunity to join the 100 Club where membership is £26 per year.. The monthly draw takes place with one £75 prize and one £25 prizes. 2: Fund raising:
Engagements during the past year have been held over a wide area with concerts in Saltburn, Whitby where the Apollo Choir from Soest in Holland joined us in a concert at St Hilda’s Church, In Castleton the Shiney Row Male Voice Choir joined us in concert in the parish church. Other venues included Moorsholm, Egton, Faceby, Guisborough for the Help the Heroes Charity, Thornton le Dale and Pickering. Gala Night in Danby Methodist chapel where proceeds were given to the Scarborough Hospital MacMillan Unit. During the year over £4700 was raised for various charities.

5: 2011 Christmas Concert Programme:
The traditional Christmas Concert at Castleton Village Hall on Sunday, Dec.11th starting at 7:30 pm. Following this and with hardly time to rest those well oiled vocal chords – a carol
concert at Skelton Parish Church on Tuesday, Dec. 13th, at 7 pm. The choir will be joined by the children of Skelton Primary School (and yes, there`ll be some good old favourites at this one!). Finally, a great night to be had at Whitby`s Caedmon School children’s night of carols at St Hilda`s, West Cliff, Whitby, on Friday, Dec.16th, starting at 7: 30pm.

7: Dalesmen Singers subscriptions
The annual subscription of choir members (currently £30) beomes due at the first rehearsal following the Annual General Meeting, usually in October.

Dalesmen Singers Patrons

The Dalesmen Singers Patrons support the work of the choir with an annual donation (minimum £5) and by attendance at concerts. The Patrons Secretary  maintains contact with Patrons, informing them about Dalesmen concerts, tours and social events as well as giving them the opportunity to meet choir members and participate where practicable. The help of Patrons is gratefully acknowledged on the programme of our Gala Concert (by name unless otherwise requested). If you wish to become a Dalesmen Singers Patron please contact the Patrons Secretary, John Haywood, (01947 605135).

4: 2011-12 song list:
The 2011-12 song list has been issued to choir members but may be seen here below. The choir librarian has asked members to check their folders to ensure that all the music is available. It is illegal to copy music and if music is missing, this can be obtained from the Colin Grout .
